100% Renewable

The Power Region is the perfect place for electricity-intensive industries. We have access to large volumes of 100% renewable energy and a broad network of contacts.

A large part of the sustainable energy produced in Sweden comes from our region through water and wind power. By unleashing and using the power where it is produced, we reduce the loss that arises when the power is transported south.

This is made possible by our proximity to the Midskog core network station, located only 28 kilometres from Östersund. We are working in close collaboration with our partner Jämtkraft, the power company serving the region. Thanks to this, we can guarantee streamlined solutions and short decision-making processes.

One of Sweden’s national wind power centres is also located in the region, and around 1,500 wind turbines will be put into use in the County of Jämtland over the next few years. We possess a great deal of knowledge of the establishment and operation of wind turbines.
